Standard Contract Notification Module Announced

On 25 October 2024, the Personal Data Protection Authority (“Authority”) announced the launch of the “Standard Contract Notification Module” (“Module”) for submitting standard contracts to the Authority. This system is designed to provide a faster and more efficient submission method compared to sending standard contracts physically or via registered electronic mail (REM).

For the use of the Module, an account needs to be created by the persons/entities required to submit a standard contract to the Authority. Upon the account creation, companies shall authorize a real person for the submission of the executed standard contracts.

Authorized persons designated by the companies who are Turkish nationals shall access the Module through e-government (e-devlet). Non-Turkish authorized persons shall obtain login credentials via e-mail.

It should be noted that an authorization document, such as a power of attorney or signature circular, evidencing that the designated person is authorized to represent the company is also required to be submitted to the Authority.

A guideline regarding the Module’s use (“Guideline”) has also been published by the Authority. You may access the Turkish version of the Guideline here.
