Recent Advertisement Board Decisions on Misleading Advertisements and Unfair Practices


The Advertisement Board (“Board”) has addressed several misleading and deceptive practices in advertising, as well as unfair commercial practices, during its 351st meeting held on November 12, 2024. These practices were found to exploit consumers’ lack of knowledge and experience, leading to consumer detriment. Key issues examined by the Board include misleading information in advertisements, insufficient disclosure of product or service details, and inconsistencies in promotional pricing.
