Information Note on the Cybersecurity Law

After the establishment of the Cybersecurity Directorate on January 8, 2025, the Cybersecurity Law (“Law”) has been adopted by the Grand National Assembly of Türkiye on March 12, 2025 and has entered into force by being published in the Official Gazette dated March 19, 2025 and numbered 32846.

The Law aims to strengthen Türkiye's existing cybersecurity strategies and align them with international standards with the perspective that the cybersecurity also concerns the national security and introduces several provisions to increase the security of the public and private sectors against cyber-attacks as well as providing the framework for the authorities and responsibilities of the Cybersecurity Directorate.
