Decisions Adopted at the Meeting No. 365 of the Advertisement Board
The Advertisement Board (“Board”), at its 365th meeting held on January 13, 2026, adopted significant decisions concerning advertisements and commercial practices falling within the scope of consumer protection legislation.
At this meeting, the Board reviewed a total of 116 files and identified violations of consumer protection legislation in 93 cases, resulting in the imposition of administrative fines as well as advertising suspension sanctions.
The Board’s evaluations at this session particularly focused on misleading practices observed across various sectors, including communications, retail, e-commerce, finance, healthcare, and services. In this context, it was emphasized that advertisements frequently contained incomplete, ambiguous, or misleading information regarding discount and campaign conditions, price and tariff representations, brand affiliation and authorization claims, financial return expectations, and health-related statements. The Board underlined that such practices are capable of distorting consumers’ economic decision-making processes and reiterated the obligation of advertisers to provide clear, accurate, verifiable, and legally compliant information.
