Highlights From the Meetings of The Advertisement Board

The Advertisement Board operating under the Ministry of Trade ("Board") adopted significant decisions at its 366th, 367th, 368th, and 369th meetings held in 2026, reaffirming its continued scrutiny of misleading advertisements and unfair commercial practices across a broad range of sectors and media.

The Board's decisions particularly addressed misleading discount and campaign claims, inaccurate pricing information, insufficient disclosure of material terms, unauthorized representations suggesting official affiliation, and unsubstantiated superiority, health, and environmental claims. The decisions once again underline the importance of ensuring that advertising claims are accurate, transparent, substantiated, and presented in a manner that enables consumers to make informed purchasing decisions.
